Impact: Trading Hope

I have been so pleasantly surprised recently by the social awareness that I’ve been seeing in the world around me. It might be kinda like the new car thing. Ya know, the one where you buy a new car thinking it was so unique and awesome and then all of a sudden you see them everywhere. Yeah, I think this might be part like that and part actual growth.

I’ve starting digging a little deeper for socially conscious companies on a regular basis in order to share them here. Initially I thought I would start running out of things to share, but I’ve actually experienced the polar opposite. I have been overwhelmed by how many people there are in the world doing their part to help out.

So who did I find this week? Trading Hope.

Trading Hope works with small and medium sized businesses to help them gain access to larger markets allowing more opportunity for growth. When the business grows, the economy grows, and amounts of jobs grow. All good things. They use the strengths already established within the businesses in order to grow on them, instead of trying to fill an empty gap or hole in the community and start from scratch. They send business professionals to work with the partners and share their wisdom and expertise that can be used while walking side by side with the local business owners.

Supporting small businesses by taking what they have, making them better, and giving them access to the US market. This is what Trading Hope is all about. To be honest this is the first time I’ve come across a mindset quite like this. Instead of trying to create something new and build a new economy Trading Hope is truly working to enhance the economy that already exists. Love this.

So what do they have to offer? Here are some of my favorite artisan-made products.

Have you guys heard of any other companies doing things like this? Make sure to tell me about them in the comments. I’m ALWAYS looking for new amazing missions to support!

With Love.
