Style: Shop for Less? I think so!

As a rule of thumb, I shop inexpensively. Many women would say that I am doing it all wrong, and that no true fashionista would allow herself to be seen in less than designer quality clothing. I believe, every fashionista is different, and this is my way of doing things. I am well aware that I live in a microwave culture. A culture where I want something now and I want it simply, then once I’m through with it I want to throw it out guilt free and replace it just as quickly. This may not be the ideal way to live your life, but as a fashion and shopping lover I find that the easiest and most pocket friendly way to keep me satisfied is to buy things that are trendy and fun, but may not make it past the season. I am perfectly comfortable “wasting” my money on things that are going to fall apart after a year of wear, because I know that I am going to be bored of it by then anyway. To stay trendy and loving my wardrobe I shop cheap, cheap, cheap! I am always looking for a good steal!

I get asked fairly often where I shop, so I figured I would give youa few of my best kept secrets. You’re welcome 🙂

Let me insert a disclaimer: Some basics are DEFINITELY  better to spend some money on. Finding something that fits flawlessly and will remain classic for years to come is well worth the investment, in order to prevent blowing money on replacements. I also want to shed some major light on something. Although my personal rule is “If it’s over $20 it cannot be purchased unless you’ve been looking for it for ages and its an absolute must have.” I also stand by the belief that things should most certainly not be purchased solely because they are the best deal you’ve ever found. Anything I purchase whether $3 or $70 is something that I absolutely love. This saves you money and helps keep your wardrobe under control. If you don’t love it (or if you’re capsuling, like me, and don’t need it) then put it away. You should know you are want to buy it before you even finish zipping it in the dressing room. If you have to think, then put it back.

Let’s do some shopping.

Here are some of the places that I check up on regularly just to see what I can find. Sometimes they’re dead ends, and other times they’re gold mines. But one thing they always are is CHEAP!  {Click images to buy!}

These are my go-to online shopping weaknesses. Some others that I love (but are slightly higher priced, so I aim for the clearance section) are: shopruche, nordstromrack, evereve, francescas, and tobi

Do you have any absurdly inexpensive go-to online stores that I need to know about?! Please, oh, please share the wealth in the comments below!

    I think i’m gonna try the 10 dollar store, but i must ask have you found sizing to be pretty standard?? To find mens jeans for under $40 is amazing……just wonder how well they fit and such?

      I haven’t had any issues with sizing… But I haven’t tried out any of their menswear (I know that’s surprising!) but I believe they have a pretty good return policy! I’ve purchased from them multiple times but have never had to send anything back. Let me know if you give it a try so I can pass on the outcome!
