Challenge: Accept an Unspoken Dream

Its sometimes crazy to see the way that things pan out. We develop these visions of what things will look like down the road, whether it be in a few hours or many many years. Sometimes these visions look like a major dream or goal, and other times they are just simple assumptions based on who we know ourselves to be or the environment we grew up in. I’ve come to learn that what we envision is rarely what comes to pass. So many things can happen so quickly that things are constantly in a state of metamorphosis. They grow. They change. And they often mold to whatever circumstances are offering at the time. Because of the constant evolution of our dreams, I am amazed when I see consistency and stability in them. Its as if the universe has designated this promise to see some specific dreams pull through no matter what is against them.

Life circumstance brought me the ability to draw. Sure some of it may have been talent, or pure interest but I believe it was mostly circumstance that gave me this ability to tune myself into the things that are around me, see them for what they truly are, and capture the many small details that define them. I started drawing as a way to pass time. But it quickly became a way to tune out the world. I was able to distract myself from my emotions,  and the hard things that a child isn’t always very capable of dealing with.

Art has quite certainly transformed its role in my life, but has continued to be a major part of it. I’ve never exactly wished for it to become something public. And certainly never envisioned myself selling my work. But when I stop and look at some of the opportunities that have been laid out in front of me, I wonder if this isn’t one of those dreams that the universe has been promised to. Today I stop to appreciate that. I appreciate that I have the option to share my soul in an art form that touches people. A form that can be molded to whatever they need it to be. I appreciate that an unspoken dream has surfaced itself, and allowed me to grow as it does.

So thank you. For all those who have supported. Whether by wisdom, technical teaching, hosting my work in your venue, purchasing, or just admiring from afar. Thank you for everything you have done to help see my dream get pushed further.

“Sometimes the dreams that come true are the dreams you never even knew you had.”

Fantastic blog! Do you have any tips for aspiring writers? I’m hoping to start my own site soon but I’m a little lost on everything. Would you suggest starting with a free platform like WordPress or go for a paid option? There are so many choices out there that I’m completely overwhelmed .. Any recommendations? Thank you!|
